HOURS OF OPERATION:
See our website for volunteer hours
and upcoming programs/events.
Waltham Fields Community Farm is a nonprofit
farming organization founded in 1995. We grow a
variety of organic vegetables and provide education
to serve community needs. We manage 15 acres
of leased land parcels, with our main base at the
former field station owned by the University of
Massachusetts.
Our mission is to promote local agriculture and
food access through our farming operations and
educational programs, using practices that are
socially, ecologically, and economically sustainable.
We encourage healthy relationships between people,
their food supply, and the land from which it grows.
Our work includes Food Access (growing and
distributing fresh produce to people in need),
educational programs including Learning Garden
sessions and farm visits for children and families,
workshops for adults, volunteering, and Farmer
Training for people serious about pursuing farming
as a career. In addition, we operate our revenue-
producing Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
farm share program, offering both summer and
winter shares. We also host and participate in a
number of public forums and events each year,
including Waltham Farm Day—our free on-farm
festival held each fall.

Waltham Philharmonic Orchestra
PO Box 541188
Waltham, MA 02454
857-919-1385
Founded in 1985, the Waltham Philharmonic
Orchestra is a non-profit, tax-exempt
organization dedicated to performing baroque,
classic, romantic and contemporary music of
symphonic literature. It is dedicated to meeting
the cultural, educational and social needs of the
greater Waltham area.
The orchestra provides a creative outlet for its
members who love to learn, perform and enjoy
the orchestral repertory, but do not depend on it
for their livelihood. Members, who give freely of
their time, come from all walks of life, and share
a common love of performing great music from
composers of the past and present.
The orchestra enhances the cultural life of the
communities it serves by “giving back” to them
performances in which the audience can enjoy
and learn, in exchange for their local support.
The Orchestra performs three subscription
concerts and one Holiday Pops concert each year.
This is a community group and all may come
and play. Interested players or others who may
wish to volunteer behind the scenes may contact
the WPO by calling the orchestra or emailing
. Rehearsals are Monday nights
from 7:15-9:45 at Waltham’s Clark Government
Center, 119 School St. Performances are usually
late October, late November, March and May.
